Ambassador Quickstart Guide
As a CapySays Ambassador, you're part of the referral partner program — helping bring new organizations onto the platform while earning commissions along the way. Your corner of CapySays is self-contained: a dedicated dashboard where you can track your referrals, manage your signup codes, generate QR codes for events, and monitor your earnings.
This guide covers everything you need to get up and running.
What you can do
- Track your referrals — see how many organizations have signed up using your codes
- Manage signup codes — view all codes assigned to you and their current status (Pending, Accepted, or Deactivated)
- Generate QR codes — create scannable links for each signup code, ready for events, print materials, or digital sharing
- Monitor your earnings — review commission records with amounts, types, and payment status (Pending or Paid)
- Follow your tier progress — see how close you are to the next ambassador tier based on your referral activity
Ambassadors have their own section of the platform and do not manage organizations, branches, devices, or any of the operational settings that owners and managers work with.
Getting started
Your account is created by the CapySays team — you won't sign up through the normal registration flow. Here's what to expect.
1. Receive your invitation email
The CapySays team creates your Ambassador profile and sends an invitation to the email address on file. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from CapySays with the subject line about your ambassador invitation.
2. Click the invitation link
The email contains a unique, time-limited invitation link. Click Accept invitation to open the account setup page. If the link has expired, contact the CapySays team to request a new one.
3. Set your password
On the acceptance page, enter and confirm a password for your account. There are no additional profile fields to fill in at this stage.
4. Land on your Ambassador Dashboard
After setting your password, you're automatically logged in and taken straight to your Ambassador Dashboard at /ambassador/dashboard/. You'll see your referral summary, tier progress, and quick links to your codes and earnings.
Day-to-day tasks
Checking your overview
The Ambassador Dashboard (/ambassador/dashboard/) is your home base. It gives you a snapshot of:
- Total referrals — organizations that have signed up using one of your codes
- Commission earned — your cumulative earnings to date
- Tier progress — how your referral count tracks against the next tier threshold
Bookmark this page — it's the fastest way to see how things are going at a glance.
Managing your signup codes
Go to Codes (/ambassador/dashboard/codes/) to see all signup codes assigned to you.
Each code has a status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | The code exists but hasn't been used to complete a signup yet |
| Accepted | Someone used this code to sign up — it counts as a referral |
| Deactivated | The code is no longer active and cannot be used for new signups |
Codes are assigned to you by the CapySays team. If you need a new code or want to request a specific offer type (discount, extended trial, etc.), reach out to your CapySays contact.
Generating a QR code
On the Codes page, find the code you want to share and click Generate QR code. This produces a scannable image that links directly to the signup page with your code pre-filled — no manual entry required for the person signing up.
QR codes are particularly useful for:
- Events and conferences — print the QR code on a badge insert, flyer, or banner
- In-person demos — let prospects scan and sign up on the spot
- Digital content — embed in a slide deck, email, or social post
Viewing your earnings
Go to Earnings (/ambassador/dashboard/earnings/) to see a detailed list of commission records.
Each record shows:
- Amount — the commission value for that record
- Type — the commission structure applied (e.g., referral bonus, percentage of plan)
- Status — either Pending (not yet processed for payment) or Paid (payment has been issued)
Commissions are calculated automatically when a referral completes signup and meets any qualifying conditions. If you have questions about a specific record or a payment, contact the CapySays team directly.
